Approximately 650 participants are expected to race in nine events at Saturday’s Deschutes Dash Multi Sport Event. All triathlon, multisport and running events will begin at Farewell Bend or Riverbend parks in Bend, and all transitions will take place at Riverbend Park.

Traffic will be affected from 7 a.m. to noon on Saturday because of the event. Columbia Street will be closed from SW Colorado Avenue to Emkay Drive. Century Drive will be closed from SW Donovan Avenue to the roundabout at the intersection of Century, SW Chandler Avenue and SW Colorado Avenue. Century Drive will be closed from Columbia Street to Belay Way, the inlet that connects Century Drive with Westridge Avenue. Century Drive will be open to local access only from Belay Way to Skyline Ranch Road. East- and westbound traffic will be directed by flaggers at the roundabout at the intersection of Reed Market Road and Mt. Washington Drive.
