VICTORIA, British Columbia — After taking the lead in the top of the 10th, the Elks (3-4 second half, 10-24 overall) were unable to seal the deal and fell 5-4 to the Victoria HarbourCats on Tuesday night at Royal Athletic Park.

After the Elks pushed across a run in the top of the 10th, Bend’s Bradley Gonzales got the first batter out in the bottom half of the inning before walking the next two men he faced. He then retired Dustin Demeter for the second out with both runners advancing.

However, Jeddediah Fagg followed with a base hit, which scored both runners and secured the win for Victoria.

Hayden Jaco picked up the win for the HarbourCats (1-3, 15-16).

Jake Holton had a homer, a double and two RBIs for the Elks.
