College notes

• Lauren Del Mar, of Bend, received a master’s degree in communication science and disorders from East Carolina University following the spring 2018 semester.

• Robert Pustis, of Redmond, received a master’s degree in education from University of Massachusetts-Amherst following the spring 2018 semester.

• Reitler Hodgert, of Bend, received a bachelor’s degree in exercise physiology from The College of St. Scholastica following the spring 2018 semester.

• The following students have graduated from Montana State University following the spring 2018 semester:

• Oregon State University-Cascades has recognized the following recipients of the 2018 Employee Awards that honors faculty and staff in the areas of diversity, equity and inclusion, outreach, staff, scholarship, creative activity, sustainability and teaching:

Jenna Goldsmith, writing instructor and co-chair of the campus diversity committee received the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Award.

Yong Bakos, a computer science instructor, received the Outreach Award.

Donna Harris, staff support, received the Outstanding Staff Award.

Satoris (Tori) Howes, an associate professor and lead of the business program, received the Scholarship and Creative Activity Award.

Ron Reuter, an associate professor in the natural resources program received the Sustainability Award.

Amy Watson, an assistant professor of marketing in the business program received the Teaching Excellence Award.

Reunion notes

• Redmond High School Class of 1963 is holding its 55th reunion the first weekend of August. Aug. 3 at 3:30 p.m. will be a tour of the old high school, which is the new City Hall; Aug. 4 will be a no-host dinner at Round Table Pizza at 5 p.m.; Aug. 5 will be the Buckaroo Breakfast at the fairgrounds. • Redmond High School Class of 1973 is holding its 45th reunion Aug. 17 and 18. Aug. 17 will be a gathering at Wild Ride Brewing, 332 SW 5th St., Redmond, from 5 to 10 p.m. in the group meeting area. Cash bar and food trucks will be on-site. Aug. 18 will be a buffet dinner at the VFW Hall, 491 SW Veterans Way, Redmond, from 5 to 10 p.m. Dinner will be served at 6 p.m. Cost is $30 per person, cash bar.
