Bob and Robin (Rogers) Cannon, of Salem, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with friends from Salem and Michigan in Lincoln City on the Oregon Coast in September.

The couple were married Sept. 9, 1967, in Bend.

Mr. and Mrs. Cannon were born and raised in Bend. High school sweethearts, they both attended Central Oregon Community College. After graduating from University of Oregon in 1969, Bob attended and graduated from Willamette College of Law in 1972. He worked for Marion County as county counsel for 15 years before entering private practice where he served as an appointed Circuit Court judge for 12 years. Bob retired in 2002 and now plays golf three times a week. He enjoys helping his wife in her garden.

Robin graduated from Bend High School in 1964 and from COCC in 1966. After two years in Eugene, the couple moved to Salem in 1969. Robin received a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Linfield College in 1984. She worked in banking for 30 years and retired in 1997. Robin is a master gardener.

The Cannons have lived in Salem for 20 years.
