J Bar J Boys Ranch on Hamby Road hosts the Oregon High Desert Classics, which attract riders from all over the Western United States and Canada. The shows encompass two full weeks of premier hunter/jumper competitions including two $25,000 Grand Prix events, according to its website. First established in 1989, the competition is the primary fundraiser for J Bar J Youth Services, a nonprofit that helps young people make positive changes, according to the website.
