Who: Artist Patricia Markle’s works are featured at Sage Custom Framing and Gallery through July 28.

Previously led by classical influences in her art, Markle has recently shifted to a contemporary and an abstract focus. Working with oils and pastels, she sits with a live model or uses support photographs to fully capture the intricacies and realness of the subject. Conversely, her experimentations with the abstract convey a personal and unpredictable internal dialogue. Both her figurative and abstract work is on display as well as two landscapes from a prior series.
