Filmmaker’s Scramble — The 72-Hour Filmmaker’s Scramble returns next week, and all ages and experience levels are welcome to participate. Presented by BendFilm, the three-day event kicks off at 6 p.m. July 26 with a filmmaking workshop by filmmaker and BendFilm Executive Director Todd Looby covering how to create a short film with little time or budget. Filmmakers are given a prompt theme or phrase on which to base their films, which they have three days to complete. Participating films will screen outdoors during the Mini Film Festival on Aug. 6 at The Workhouse, 50 SE Scott St., in Bend. The Jury Award Winner will screen during the annual BendFilm Festival in October. The cost to participate is $25 per filmmaking squad.
