New openings — As Bend’s summer season kicks into high gear, a flurry of casual new dining establishments have opened in the city.
The Boneyard Pub opened recently. Its menu of sandwiches, salads and entrees has a distinctly Asian fusion flavor, with dishes like jackfruit, Filipino chicken and Japanese pork tonkatsu on the menu. All prices are under $20. 1955 NW Division St., Bend; boneyardbeer.com, 541-241-7184. Open 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. every day.
Worthy Brewing’s Taps & Tacos began welcoming guests on June 30. A creative selection of 10 tacos, most priced in the $5 to $6 range, include meat, fish and vegetarian options. 806 NW Brooks St., Bend; worthybrewing.com, 541-678-6268. Open 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. every day.
The J & J Bar and Grill, which opened July 4 weekend, has taken over the former Summit Bar and Grill with little change to its predecessor’s decor. Hearty breakfasts (under $12) are served until noon. The later menu features salads, burgers and other sandwiches. 125 NW Oregon Ave. Open 9 a.m. to 2 a.m. every day.
