The Good Time Travelers — aka the songwriting partnership between Colorado’s Michael Kirkpatrick and Bendite (since 2017) Pete Kartsounes — returns to McMenamins Old St. Francis School on Wednesday to kick off a mini-tour of McMenamins venues in Oregon and Washington. The duo spent the early part of the year touring Alaska, Arizona and Nevada, and released their second album, “Mountain Song,” which leans into the bluegrass side of these eclectic musicians’ repertoire (guest spots from newgrass originator Sam Bush and Taarka’s Enion Pelta-Tiller help on that score, too). Catch these musical brothers doing what they do best in St. Francis School’s intimate setting now — because they’re bound to do more (time) traveling soon.
The Good Time Travelers: 7 p.m. Wednesday; free; McMenamins Old St. Francis School, 700 NW Bond St., Bend; mcmenamins.com or 541-382-5174.
