Central Oregon unemployment rates stay low in June

Central Oregon unemployment rates stayed near their historically low levels in June, the Oregon Employment Department reported Tuesday.

The Deschutes County unemployment rate was 3.9 percent, not significantly different from 3.8 percent in May or 4.2 percent a year ago, the department said.

In Crook County, the unemployment rate was 5.4 percent, compared to 6.1 percent in June 2017.

Jefferson County’s unemployment rate was 5 percent, compared with 5.5 percent a year ago.
