A season-high losing streak reached 10 games Tuesday night for the Bend Elks.

The Portland Pickles pounded out 20 hits and rolled to a 14-1 win in the first game of a three-game West Coast League series at Vince Genna Stadium.

Highlights were few for the Elks, but they included Cole Frey’s relief pitching effort in the ninth inning. Frey, a 2018 Bend High graduate, struck out the side in order.
