Scott

Bill and Joyce (Brant) Scott, of Bend, will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary by hosting a private dinner party with about 100 friends and family members at their home on Saturday.

The couple were married August 2, 1958, in Salem. They have two sons, Terry (and Anne) of Louisville, Kentucky, and Tom, of Bend, and three grandchildren.

Mr. Scott was raised in Powell Butte and served in the U.S. Army from 1954-56. He earned a master’s degree in education from Oregon State University in 1969 and worked for Bend-La Pine School District for 33 years. He retired in July 1993 as principal of Juniper Elementary School. Mrs. Scott was raised in Salem and was working at Montgomery Ward department store when she met her future husband. She was the school secretary at R.E. Jewell Elementary School for 30 years before retiring in July 1997.

The couple enjoy traveling and spending time with family and friends.

They have lived in Bend for 50 years.
