Prineville man killed in accident

A Prineville man was killed in a single-vehicle accident west of the city Friday afternoon.

David Thompson, 20, was driving eastbound on Highway 26 when his 2004 Nissan Frontier pickup left the roadway at about milepost 17 and rolled over. Thompson, who was alone in the truck, was ejected and died at the scene, according to the Oregon State Police.

Thompson was not wearing his seatbelt at the time.
