Claudine Clinton of Bend died Wednesday, July 18, 2018, at the age of 83, after suffering from dementia and Parkinson’s disease at Mt. Bachelor Memory Care in Bend, Oregon, where she had been a resident for over 4 years. She was loved and well cared for by all the staff. Her viewing and graveside service was held on July 23, 2018.
Claudine was born January 9, 1935, in Redmond, Oregon, to Louis and Vina Young. She married Lee Clinton in January of 1962, in Washington.
Claudine graduated from Bend High School, class of 1952. She worked for Deschutes County Library as a librarian for seven years. She also worked as a secretary for the Laborers International Union of North America, Local #915 and attended the Assembly of God Church for many years.
Claudine enjoyed music, singing and playing the violin. She had a love for all animals and enjoyed her dogs, and raising chickens, rabbits, cows, horses and pigs. She also was an active 4-H member while growing up.
She is survived by two sons, Danny and Timmy, both of Bend; two daughters, LaRae Anderson and Kimberly Colvin (husband, Dwyne), both of Bend; five grandchildren, Chris Anderson (wife, Lisa), Natosha Stinson, Summer Flowers, Bailey Colvin and Emily Colvin; and four great-grandchildren, Hailey Anderson, Hunter Anderson, Lane Stinson and Calee Stinson. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lee Clinton; both parents; and her sister, Kathleen Porter.
