The city of Bend is seeking residents to serve on a board that advises the city about business development and economic growth.

Officials want to fill two three-year appointments and two alternate positions on the Bend Economic Development Board, according to a news release from the city.

Along with being residents, applicants must represent a local business or industry. Current board members represent real estate, finance, aerospace, insurance and utilities, the news release stated.

The economic development advisory board meets at least once a month for two hours, generally during business hours. Those interested must complete an application, which can be found on the city’s website. Applications will be accepted until 5 p.m. on Aug. 24.
