Afroman returns to Domino Room

There’s a good reason Afroman keeps coming back to Bend. As the “Because I Got High” rapper told The Bulletin in 2011, “It’s been 10 years since ‘Because I Got High’ and cities like Bend are keeping me in the game. Bend has kept with me past ‘Because I Got High’ and is familiar with all my songs.” In the seven years since making that statement, Afroman has continued to pump out new music through his Hungry Hustler Records label, with most of his albums only available at his website, afromanmuzzicc.com. His most recent release, the appropriately named EP “One Hit Wonder,” shows he still has plenty to say about his favorite topics (read: lots of weed, including a remix of “Because I Got High”) and plenty of outrageous, often hilarious ways to say it. He last played Bend, at Volcanic Theatre Pub, in 2016, and will return to play the Domino Room on Saturday.

Afroman, with DJ Raider Mystic: 9 p.m. Saturday; $20 plus fees in advance; Domino Room, 51 NW Greenwood Ave., Bend; bendticket.com or 541-408-4329.
