Los Lobos headlines Sisters Rhythm & Brews Festival

For the last six or seven years, Joe and Jennifer Rambo have worked behind the scenes supplying electricity for most outdoor events with live music in Central Oregon — from the Bend Summer Festival to Sisters Folk Festival — through their company, Team Rambo Events Electrical. This year, inspired by that experience and a visit to festival-heavy Telluride, Colorado, five years ago, the couple decided to launch their own festival. The inaugural Sisters Rhythm & Brews Festival takes place Friday and Saturday with music spread out on two stages — one at Village Green City Park and the other at Sisters Art Works. Naturally, the performers are on the bluesier side, with Latin rock legend Los Lobos set to headline (original headliner John Mayall canceled his summer tour dates due to illness). A portion of the proceeds from ticket sales will go to Sisters Habitat for Humanity and the Heart of Oregon Corps YouthBuild program. Check out the full schedule at sistersrhythmandbrews.com.

Sisters Rhythm & Brews Festival: 5 p.m. to midnight Friday and noon to midnight Saturday; $145 plus fees; Village Green City Park, 305 S. Fir St., and Sisters Art Works, 204 W. Adams Ave., Sisters; sistersrhythmandbrews.com.
