• Casey Baxter, of Baxter Harder LLC, has been recognized by the American Institute of DUI/DWI Attorneys as a 10 best in Oregon for client satisfaction. The American Institute of DUI/DWI Attorneys is a third-party attorney-rating organization that publishes an annual list of the top 10 DUI attorneys in each state based on client and/or peer nominations, thorough research and the institution’s independent evaluation.
• Carol Stiles has been appointed executive director of Stroke Awareness Oregon, a nonprofit dedicated to supporting stroke survivors and their families. She was formerly the executive director of The Center Foundation.
• Mary Burns has been selected to the board of directors for Stroke Awareness Oregon. She holds a master’s degree from Northern Arizona University in speech-language pathology and specializes in speech and swallowing rehabilitation. She has five years of clinical experience and is the owner/operator of Overland Speech and Swallowing Rehabilitation.
• Kelley Mears, of Bend, has joined the general small business lending team of Live Oak Bank, an online digital financial institution, as senior loan officer. She serves the Oregon, Idaho and Alaska markets and specializes in commercial real estate, business acquisitions, equipment, working capital and refinancing.
• Lauren DuBose has been named donor relations manager of Saving Grace, a nonprofit that provides services and support for domestic violence and sexual assault survivors. She served as development director for seven years.
• Ryan Stillwater has been named development director of Saving Grace. He has 10 years’ nonprofit management experience and served as development director at a rescue mission in Central California.
• Taylor Smith has been named the new volunteer program and prevention coordinator of Saving Grace. She is a Bend native and 2014 graduate from University of Oregon who started at the nonprofit as a direct service volunteer, then became a full-time Americorps volunteer with the organization and served a term as shelter advocate.
