College notes

• Karl Kawders earned bachelor’s degrees with distinction in business administration and finance, investment and banking from University of Wisconsin-Madison following the spring 2018 semester.

• Nick Loeffler earned a bachelor’s degree in physics and music from Lawrence University following the spring 2018 semester. He is the son of Peter and Helen Loeffler of Bend.

High school notes

• Jenavieve Lustyik, of Bend High School and member of the varsity volleyball team, and Cole Little, of Culver High School and member for the varsity football team, have been inducted into the Oregon Sports Hall of Fame in the Class of 2018. The students received $3,000 scholarships to be used for continuing their education at Oregon colleges and universities.

FAN notes

• The Family Access Network received a $1,000 grant from the Washington Federal Foundation to be used to provide 10 children and family members in Central Oregon with basic-need resources such as food, housing, clothing, healthcare and school supplies.

Reunion notes

• Redmond High School Class of 1973 is holding its 45th reunion Aug. 17 and 18. Aug. 17 will be a gathering at Wild Ride Brewing, 332 SW 5th St., Redmond, from 5 to 10 p.m. in the group meeting area. Cash bar and food trucks will be on-site. Aug. 18 will be a buffet dinner at the VFW Hall, 491 SW Veterans Way, Redmond, from 5 to 10 p.m. Dinner will be served at 6 p.m. Cost is $30 per person, cash bar.
