Elks win 2nd in a row vs. Gresham

After giving up the lead in the top of the seventh, the Bend Elks plated two runs in the bottom of the eighth en route to a 6-4 victory over the Gresham GreyWolves on Saturday night at Vince Genna Stadium.
A.J. Atherton turned in a quality start for the Elks. He allowed three earned runs over six innings. The left-hander fanned two, walked two and scattered six hits.
Jerred Seamons logged another strong night at the plate. The Bend shortstop went 2-for-3 with a home run, two RBIs and a run scored. Ian Nowak added a homer and two RBIs for the Elks.
Bradley Gonzales picked up his first win of the summer for Bend after hurling two shutout innings in relief.
Owen Parsons took the loss for the GreyWolves. He pitched the final 31⁄3 innings for Gresham and allowed two earned runs on three hits.
