BREW reports $4.5M earnings

Craft Brew Alliance Inc. (BREW) on Wednesday reported second-quarter earnings of $4.5 million.

On a per-share basis, the Portland-based company said it had net income of 23 cents.

The brewer that makes craft beers like Kona, Widmer Brothers and Redhook posted revenue of $61.8 million in the period.

Craft Brew Alliance shares have decreased roughly 5 percent since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Wednesday, shares hit $18.25, climbing slightly in the last 12 months.
