AJ (Albert John) Demaris, Jr., age 73, – left this Earth to walk with his Heavenly Father on July 22, 2018. He was born to Albert (Ab) and Margaret Demaris on September 1, 1944.

AJ graduated from Sisters High School in 1962 and married his high school sweetheart, Ginger D. Faris, on September 19, 1964. Graduating from the University of Oregon with a BS in Biology, AJ worked with the Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife for 33 years as Fish Hatchery Manager and later as Engineering Coordinator.

AJ was an avid hunter and outdoorsman, always willing to share and teach others skills and a respect for nature. He was an active member of the Highland Baptist Church of Redmond, where he taught Adult Sunday School. He loved working his farm and cattle, and any excuse to use his tractor.

He is survived by his wife, Ginger D. Demaris; three children, Tracy Thille of Redmond, Oregon, Jeff Demaris of Beaverton, Oregon, and Elizabeth Demaris of Lake Stevens, Washington; grandchildren, Torrey Thille, Mason Demaris, and Lauren Demaris; brother, JB Demaris and sister, Donna Dea Shelby.

Celebration of Life was held July 28, 2018, at Highland Baptist Church, Redmond.
