Evacuation warning levels were reduced Sunday afternoon in areas affected by the Cloverdale Fire east of Sisters.

Firefighters were holding the line around the 74-acre fire Sunday and were looking for hot spots in mop-up operations. All homes between Rabbitbrush Lane and Central Street and north of U.S. Highway 20 to Cascade Estates Drive and Breezy Way were still under level 1 (be ready) evacuation notives Sunday evening, according to the Deschutes County Sheriff’s Office.

In addition, Cascade Estates Drive between Highway 20 and Breezy Way was closed.

The fast-moving fire was reported Saturday afternoon and reportedly burned several homes and caused the evacuation of livestock as well.

The Red Cross set up a shelter at FivePine Conference Center, 1021 East Desperado Trail, Sisters.
