Bend police were investigating a death Monday evening in southwest Bend.

The Bend Police Department and Bend Fire Department responded to the 20000 block of Mount Hope Lane, between the Bend Parkway and Brookswood Boulevard, at 5:46 p.m. Monday, and were conducting a death investigation at a home in that area.

Bend Police Department spokesman Lt. Clint Burleigh said Monday evening that no one was in custody as a result of the investigation, but did not release any further information about the incident. He said next of kin were being notified.

In a statement, police said there was no known threat to the community stemming from the investigation.
