CFPB head approved

A Senate committee on Thursday approved Kathy Kraninger’s nomination to lead the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau.

Democratic opponents of the nominee said she has no relevant experience. The 12 Democrats on the committee opposed.

Republicans brushed off concerns. All 13 voted to confirm Kraninger.
