Police search for suspect in Madras shooting

Police are searching for a suspect in the shooting of a man at the Tops Trailer Park in Madras early Monday morning.
Alejandro Pineda Reynoso, 29, of Madras, is suspected of shooting a man at the park multiple times, according to the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office. He may be driving a silver 1996 Acura car with Oregon license plate 424 GAU. He may also be armed with a handgun, according to the sheriff’s office, and is considered dangerous.
Sheriff’s deputies and Madras police responded to reports of shots fired at the trailer park at 23 NW Depot Road at 2:30 a.m. They found a man who had been shot multiple times outside a trailer. Deputies used tourniquets to control the bleeding until the man was taken by ambulance to St. Charles Madras, then by air ambulance to St. Charles Bend. His condition is unknown, according to the sheriff’s office.
Police couldn’t immediately release the name of the suspect because the victim knew him only by his nickname.
Oregon State Police, Warm Springs Police and the Tri-County Major Crimes Team are assisting in the investigation.
