Who: Acrylic painter Charles Chamberlain’s work is on display at the Sisters Library through September. A native New Englander, Chamberlain is largely self-taught, taking up painting in his early 30s. He draws inspiration from New England contemporaries and from exploring the back roads and landscapes of rural New Hampshire, focusing on the solitude and antiquity the scenes provide. Having now retired to Bend, he has been featured in local galleries and won awards both in the Northeast and in Central Oregon.
