Bend area home prices fall off June peak

Bend median home price dips

The Bend area median home price dipped to $431,000 in August after hitting a peak of $449,000 in June, according to the Beacon Report by Beacon Appraisal Group.

August was a further decline from July, when the median sale price of a single-family home was $437,000.

The median price in August was still up 4.1 percent from $414,000 a year ago. The median price represents the midpoint, with half the sales above and half below.

There were 260 single-family home sales in August, and homes spent an average 73 days on the market, the same as in August, 2017, according to the report.

In Redmond, single-family homes sold for a median price of $307,000, up from $300,000 in July. There were 103 transactions, and homes spent an average 91 days on the market.
