Janet Dell Baskerville age 79, passed away August 20, 2018 in Bend, OR.
Janet was born in Grove City, PA to George, and Marguerite (O’Hara) Warner. The family moved to Shippensburg, PA, where George practiced as a physician. The family then moved to Texas in 1955 where she graduated from the first class Bellaire High School in Houston. Janet attended the University of Iowa, where her mother hoped she would meet a Gentleman Farmer. There she met Wendell Baskerville, who found his career in insurance sales with Prudential. They married August 30, 1958, and moved to Los Angeles. In 1961, the couple purchased a home in Burbank, and had three children. Janet worked as a secretary, then as a legal secretary with Paul, Hastings, Janofsky, and Walker. The couple moved to Bend, Oregon in 1980.
While in Bend, Janet developed a passion for genealogical research. She was an active member of Bend Chapter, National Society Daughters of the American Revolution. She also volunteered at the Bend Family History Center.
Janet will be interred next to her husband at Miramar National Cemetery in San Diego, CA.
She is survived by her sons, Michael and Christopher Baskerville; daughter, Wendy Gross, and grandson, Andrew Gross.
