Brandi Carlile’s musical career grew up alongside Bend. The Washington folk-rocker has played here every few years like clockwork since 2007, the same year her sophomore album, “The Story,” and its single of the same name launched her into the national spotlight. In that decade-plus, she graduated from opening act at Les Schwab Amphitheater to selling out the Tower Theatre to headlining Les Schwab, which she will do for the third time Saturday. This time out, Carlile and longtime bandmates Phil and Tim Hanseroth (aka the Twins) will come armed with new material from “By the Way, I Forgive You,” the followup to 2015’s Grammy-nominated “The Firewatcher’s Daughter.” “By the Way,” which was produced by Dave Cobb and Shooter Jennings and pairs Carlile’s powerhouse voice with lush, string-laden arrangements and melancholy storytelling, hit No. 5 on the Billboard 200 to become her highest-charting record to date. All online ticket orders for Carlile’s Bend show come with a digital copy of the album.
