Oregon Spirit Distillers emerged as a major outdoor music venue this summer for Bend Radio Group after the Century Center was sidelined due to construction and the city’s ongoing debate about outdoor music (which resulted in new regulations for temporary change of occupancy permits earlier this year). Of course, the distillery’s primary mission is, well, distilling spirits, and it will celebrate nine years of doing that in Bend on Saturday. But music fans should still be excited: In addition to vendors and beverages, the event will feature four notable local bands, including Victory Swig, Wilderness, Corner Gospel Explosion and relative newcomers Rubbah Tree. And in case you needed more incentive, this show will be your last chance to catch Wilderness and Corner Gospel Explosion with bassist Tyler Parsons, who moved to Seattle this week (Wilderness will continue with its first bassist, Aaron Moore, while CoGo is “slowing down,” according to both bands’ drummer (and CoGo vocalist) Bradley Parsons).
Oregon Spirit Distillers’ nine-year anniversary party: 2:30 p.m. Saturday; free; Oregon Spirit Distillers, 740 NE First St., Bend; oregonspiritdistillers.com or 541-382-0002.
