NPRA Finals in Prineville

PRINEVILLE — Two nights of rodeo action are slated for this weekend at the Crook County Fairgrounds Indoor Arena, site of the 2018 Northwest Professional Rodeo Association Finals.
Rodeo performances are scheduled for 7 p.m. on Friday and Saturday. Events will include bareback riding, saddle bronc riding, steer wrestling, team roping, breakaway roping, barrel racing, bull riding, calf roping, wild cow milking, ranch bronc riding, novice bareback riding and novice saddle bronc riding.
Among the expected contests is Terrebonne’s Charlie Barker, the reigning NPRA all-around champion. Another Terrebonne cowboy, Shane Erickson, is the current leader in the all-around standings for 2018.
The NPRA is billed as the largest regional rodeo organization in the Western United States.
