• First Story, a nonprofit organization, gave Family Access Network $5,000 to support advocate services in schools and rental assistance for families in Deschutes County. The donation from First Story’s Community Giving grant program was made on behalf of Hayden Homes.
• Mt. Bachelor ski area presented a $200,000 donation to the Mt. Bachelor Sports Education Foundation in support of the organization’s capital campaign to build its first permanent home and training facility for Central Oregon youth pursuing mountain sports. The facility will be at 2765 NW Lolo Drive.
• Patagonia @ Bend will participate in the Patagonia Inc. “Time to Vote” campaign, a national nonpartisan voter registration drive. Patagonia’s efforts to encourage people to “Vote the Environment” will include closing all company and partner stores on Nov. 6 to ensure staff have time to cast a ballot.
