Can you weave a tale? Enter The Bulletin’s Halloween Fiction Contest

Do your spooky stories keep your friends at rapt attention around a campfire? Does your short fiction give goosebumps to readers at your writing workshop? Whether a natural-born storyteller or a student of Stephen King or Edgar Allan Poe, The Bulletin wants your ghoulish prose in its second annual Halloween Fiction Contest. Entries are limited to 650 words and must be original work never before published. The winner will receive a $100 Old Mill gift certificate. Second place is $50 Old Mill gift certificate. The stories will be published in The Bulletin’s Living & Giving section on Oct. 27. The deadline for all entries is Oct. 18. One entry per person.

The contest is open to Central Oregon residents only. The judges’ decision is final. By entering the contest, you are granting The Bulletin a royalty-free license to publish your story in print and online. Winners’ names and photos may appear in The Bulletin.
