Big O Bagels (Galveston): 77 — Butter on counter at 71 degrees. Both front prep coolers holding food at 44-45 degrees. Front display cooler holding nine bagel dogs, 16-ounce cream cheese cups and several individual cream cheeses holding at 56 degrees (food thrown out). Cream cheese to-go cups are dated three weeks prior to inspection, if marked at all. No sanitizer present in three-compartment sink that was to be used further before closing in one hour. Person in charge unaware of proper food holding temperatures. Believed quat-ammonia test strips to be used to test chlorine sanitizer. Few reach-in coolers with no thermometers.

Hola 4 (Bond St.): 82 — Two large containers of beans at 46-50 degrees, salsa at 50 degrees. Four cans of whipped cream were all opened more than seven days earlier. No chlorine sanitizer in dishmachine. No digital probe thermometer available. No thermometers in from reach-in coolers.

The Dough Nut (Galveston): 86 — Sausage is date marked two weeks prior to inspection; ham is marked almost one month prior. Open bottle of water on counter. No chlorine test strips available. Roll of nonperforated paper towels on counter. No thermometer in front milk refrigerator.

Shari’s #120 (North): 87 — Bag of pooled raw eggs is against and over boxes of lettuce. Hose from unrestricted hose bib at mop sink is hanging down into basin. Open cup of coffee on cookline.

Sunspot Drive-In: 87 — Raw eggs stored over ready to eat food in reach-in. No air gap at prep sink. Fan guards in reach-in are dirty. Rusty shelve in reach-in.
