A transient was arrested Saturday night following the stabbing of a Bend man on Bond Street downtown.
Bend police responded to reports of an argument and stabbing at 10:25 p.m. and discovered that a 24-year-old man had been stabbed in the abdomen. The Bend police department did not disclose the name of the victim, who was taken to St. Charles Bend with non-life threatening injuries. According to court documents filed Monday, however, the stabbing victim is Bend resident Hunter Karl.
The suspect, 43-year-old Gregory Tahsahsanah, was standing nearby on the sidewalk. According to a police department press release, Tahsahsanah and the unnamed victim had been arguing when the stabbing took place.
Tahsahsanah was taken to the Deschutes County jail on charges of assault, unlawful use of a weapon and disorderly conduct.
