Mission Spotlight returns to Suttle Lodge

After featuring performances by Silver Jews and Lambchop guitarist William Tyler in September and Maryland alt-folk songwriter Michael Nau in October, The Suttle Lodge & Boathouse’s Fireside Concerts conclude this weekend with something a bit closer to home. Portland country-rock quintet Mission Spotlight, which performed at the lodge this summer, will return Saturday to play new music from its melancholic third album “Remember the Time.” Produced by Jason Lytle of California indie-rock band Grandaddy, the record spotlights frontman Kurt Foster’s warm baritone and increasingly sophisticated songwriting, which draws equally from alt-country forebearers Wilco and more traditional fare such as Buck Owens.

Mission Spotlight: 7 p.m. Saturday, doors open at 5 p.m.; $5 at the door; The Suttle Lodge & Boathouse, 13300 U.S. Highway 20, Sisters; thesuttlelodge.com or 541-638-7001.
