The Bend Elks will open next year’s West Coast League season on June 4 at home against the Cowlitz Black Bears. The summer collegiate baseball league unveiled its 2019 schedule Thursday.

In their 20th season, the Elks will host the annual WCL All-Star Game on July 23 at Vince Genna Stadium.

New to the league in 2019 will be the expansion Ridgefield Raptors. Located in southwest Washington, the Ridgefield club will play in the WCL’s South Division along with Bend, Cowlitz, the Corvallis Knights, the Portland Pickles and the Walla Walla Sweets. The new team will allow the league to have a balanced divisional alignment with two six-team divisions.
