Music recitals — Some 38 music pupils of instructors in the Central Oregon Music Teachers Association (OMTA) will present in Student’s Choice Recitals at 9:30 and 11 a.m. Saturday at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 18143 Cottonwood Road, in Sunriver. Free and open to the public, it’s the OMTA’s first student event for the 2018-19 school year. Also, 23 students of the Central Oregon District met the requirements for the inaugural year of the Central Oregon-OMTA’s Honor Society. The students are Ben Bonetto, Kate Bonetto, Osiris Bretoi, Caroline Broberg, Kyle Freed, Brooklyn Gilsdorf, Evan Grover, Davis Hoffman, Joel Hoffman, Alexandria Johnston, Madeline Livingstone, Thea Mandel, Claire McDonald, Clara McDonald, Calvin Nary, Joel Newman, Isaiah Ojeda, Michelle Ortman, Ella Peterson, Matthias Santucci, Matthew Seals, Gabriel Sternberg and Jake Thibert.
