The Portland Timbers will face Sporting Kansas City in the Western Conference Championship series in the MLS Cup Playoffs. 

Kansas City advanced to the Western Conference Championship series by beating Real Salt Lake 4-2 in the second leg of the Western semifinals Sunday. 

The Timbers advanced by beating the Seattle Sounders 4-2 on penalty kicks in an epic Western Conference semifinal second-leg game Thursday in Seattle. 

The series begins Nov. 25 with a match in Portland. The second leg will take place Nov. 29 in Kansas City, Kansas. 

The game times and broadcast schedule have yet to be announced.
