Friday and Saturday will be Free Fishing Days in Oregon, days when no license or tag is required to fish, crab or clam anywhere in the state open to fishing, crabbing or clamming. The Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife said all other rules and regulations still apply.

The agency has stocked six Willamette Valley locations — Sheridan Pond, Huddleston Pond, Blue Lake, Junction City Pond, Walter Wirth Lake and Timber Linn Lake — with more than 400 large brood trout. Legal trout have been also been stocked in Canby Pond, Mt. Hood Pond, West Salish Pond, Junction City Pond, Timber Linn Lake, Walter Wirth Lake, Waverly Lake and Cottage Grove Pond.
