A rundown of games and events to watch for locally and nationally from the world of sports (all times Pacific):
Monday
NFL football, Tennessee at Houston, 5:15 p.m. (ESPN): Former University of Oregon Ducks star Marcus Mariota and the Titans try to make up some ground on the AFC South-leading Texans, whose longtime owner, Robert McNair, passed away Friday. Tennessee beat Houston in Week 2 in Nashville, but the Texans are on a roll, winning seven in a row.
Wednesday
NBA basketball, Orlando at Portland, 7 p.m. (NBC Sports Northwest): The Trail Blazers had worked their way to the top of the Western Conference before Thanksgiving but now go into this Moda Center matchup with the Magic looking to end a three-game losing streak, their longest of the season. The homestand finishes with the Denver Nuggets on Friday night.
Friday
College football, Pac-12 Championship Game at Santa Clara, Calif., 5 p.m. (Fox): Washington and Utah face off for the Pac-12 title in a rematch of the conference opener for both teams in Week 3, which the Huskies won 21-7 at Salt Lake City. The Pac-12 champ earns an automatic trip to Pasadena for the Rose Bowl against a Big Ten opponent on New Year’s Day.
Saturday
Running, Jingle Bell Run in Bend, 11 a.m.: The 27th Jingle Bell Run in downtown Bend includes a 5K and 1-mile run/walk and features a new course, starting and finishing at Mirror Pond Plaza. A fun run for kids starts at 11:15 a.m., and the annual Christmas parade begins at noon. Participants are encouraged to dress in holiday-themed attire. The event is a fundraiser for the Arthritis Foundation.
Saturday
Prep wrestling, Central Oregon Wrestling Officials Association Invitational in Bend, 10 a.m.: Bend, Crook County, Culver, La Pine, Mountain View, Redmond and Ridgeview are scheduled to hit the mats at Bend High School for this annual tournament, a season-opening showcase for wrestlers from around the region.
