Ray Gates, Hoodoo Ski Area grooming supervisor, operates a snow groomer Thursday as he prepares the slopes under Ed Chair at Hoodoo Ski Area. With 16 inches of snow at the base as of Thursday afternoon, Hoodoo Ski Area planed to open for the season Friday. The Manzanita, Ed and Easy Rider lifts will be open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., the ski area reported. The Autobahn Tubing Park was also set to run 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday to Sunday, but visitors have to walk up the hill because the tubing tow won’t run until there is more snow.
