A 58-year-old woman from Crooked River Ranch was seriously injured and cited for failing to obey a stop sign after a crash Tuesday at the intersection of NW 43rd Street and NW Lower Bridge Way, west of Terrebonne.
Deschutes County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to the crash at 1:48 p.m. and found Cynthia K. Marshall trapped in her white Pontiac Sunfire, unable to escape.
Personnel from the Redmond and Crooked River Ranch fire departments removed Marshall from her vehicle. She was transported to St. Charles Redmond with serious injuries.
An investigation of the crash determined Marshall was stopped at the stop sign on NW 43rd Street. Marshall pulled away from the stop sign to turn east and into the path of a Toyota Corolla traveling west and driven by Quentin R. Johnson, 20, of Redmond. Both vehicles were heavily damaged and needed to be towed from the scene, according to the sheriff’s office.
