Bend, Redmond home prices stable in December

December home prices in Bend and Redmond saw little change since the fall, according to the latest report from Beacon Appraisal Group of Redmond.

The median sale price of a single-family home in the Bend area was $432,000 in December, down from $433,000 in November. The latest median price is 9 percent higher than December 2017, when it was $395,000, according to the Beacon Report. The number of closed transactions declined 15 percent year-over-year from 189 in December 2017 to 160 last month.

Homes sold in December spent an average 96 days on the market, compared with an average 89 days in December 2017.

In Redmond, the median price of single-family homes dropped slightly from $305,000 in November to $300,000 last month. The median price is 4.5 percent higher than December 2017. It was $287,000 a year ago. Redmond saw 63 single-family homes sold last month, compared with 52 in December 2017. Homes spent an average 105 days on the market, similar to the year-ago average of 108 days.
