Annie McColgan, a cross-country skier with the Bend-based Mt. Bachelor Sports Education Foundation, was named this week to the U-18 Nordic Nations Women’s Team.

One of six skiers selected for the team, McColgan is set to compete Jan. 20-27 at the Nordic Junior World Ski Championships in Lahti, Finland.

This past weekend, McColgan, 16, competed at the U.S. Cross Country Ski Championships in Craftsbury, Vermont. She placed 102nd out of 246 finishers in the women’s 10-kilometer classic race in 36 minutes, 32.7 seconds.

She was also 59th out of 92 finishers in the women’s skate sprint in 3:54.54 and 112th out of 222 finishers in the women’s classic sprint in 4:29.47.
