Small Bites: A James Beard Foundation fundraiser, Mo’s Egg House opens in Redmond

James Beard dinner — Chef Joe Kim, co-owner of downtown Bend’s 5 Fusion & Sushi Bar, will honor “America’s Culinary Melting Pot” at a Feb. 4 benefit for James Beard Foundation culinary scholarships. A unique menu will blend the cuisines of Korea, Japan, China and India with those of Britain, France, Russia and Mexico. Tickets are priced at $150 per person, with wine pairings an additional $30. Breakfast option — Mo’s Egg House has opened in Redmond’s Fred Meyer mall, replacing the former Angel House.
