Ice blanketed much of Central Oregon on Thursday morning, causing delays at most of the schools in the region and making local roads slick and sometimes dangerous. The ice had mostly melted by noon, as a warming trend moved through the region. Temperatures Friday are supposed to hover around 40 degrees with rain forecast, and temperatures are supposed to climb higher Saturday, with more rain coming.
