Folk-rock titans The Avett Brothers are coming back to Bend.
The North Carolina band will return to Les Schwab Amphitheater on Aug. 13 with Boston indie/folk/soul band Lake Street Dive opening. This is the first show announced for Les Schwab’s 2019 season.
Tickets cost $55 plus fees in advance or $60 day-of-show, and go on sale at 10 a.m. Jan. 25 at bit.ly/bbavettbros or at the Ticket Mill in the Old Mill District. A local presale will take place from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday at the same link (use password LOCAL). Visit bendconcerts.com for more information.
The Avett Brothers last performed at Les Schwab in 2017, following the premiere of documentary “May It Last: A Portrait of the Avett Brothers,” which chronicled the making of the band’s Grammy-nominated 2016 album, “True Sadness.” The band is working on new music with “True Sadness” producer Rick Rubin, and recently released the single “Trouble Letting Go.”
