An intoxicated Bend man crashed into seven cars late Saturday night before hitting a tree and fleeing on foot, according to the Bend Police Department.

Shortly after 11 p.m. Saturday, Bend officers responded to a report of a multivehicle crash near Ensworth Elementary School. They were told that a man driving a gray Jeep, later identified as 29-year-old Kevin Warren Jackson, had crashed into seven vehicles before hitting a tree in front of the school and running away. The vehicles, parked along Daggett Lane, were unoccupied.

Police officers found Jackson running through the parking lot of the Summit Park Apartments at 2017 NE Full Moon Drive. They took him to St. Charles Bend to be evaluated before moving him to the Deschutes County Jail. He has been charged with DUII, violating parole, hit and run, reckless driving and unlawful possession of cocaine.

According to Oregon criminal records, an Oregon State Police officer cited Warren at about 11:30 p.m. on Dec. 19 for driving 65 miles per hour on NE Greenwood Avenue, where the posted speed is 35, with an open bottle of tequila on the passenger seat of his Jeep.
